VO2 Max Test
VO2 MAX – $200
VO2 Max is the gold standard exercise test. Popular among weekend warriors and professional athletes looking to understand their aerobic ability and improve performance in their sport
*Cardiac clearance needed before test.
A VO2 Max test is the gold standard exercise test to determine your aerobic capacity. This is a popular test for weekend warriors and professional athletes looking to improve performance in their sport.
The person will breathe through a mouthpiece connected to a metabolic analyzer and wear a heart-rate monitor. The analyzer measures the volume as well as the percentage of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the expired gas.
For those who take the test to completion, reaching their maximal exertion level, the result will indicate their genetic potential for endurance athletics. While anaerobic threshold is the best measuring stick of current endurance performance, the VO2 Max indicates the potential of an athlete after several years of systematic, structured training.

This simple yet powerful 10-to-20 minute breath test determines how much energy, or calories, you burn in a day at rest. You simply sit back, relax and breathe. During the test, the air you breathe in and out is analyzed to determine how much oxygen your body uses to maintain basic life functions. Once completed, we use your resting metabolic rate calories to provide a foundation for your calories burned during a day. We then add calories burned during activities of daily living (ADLs) and exercise calories to get a total calorie expenditure for the day.
To perform this test most accurately, it is necessary to follow the simple pre-test instructions found here.
